DR. SOMASUNDARAM JAYABOSE

Dr Jayabose joined Aroh as itsmedical advisor in early 2021, having served as the Medical Director at JivDaya Foundation till December 2020. His ongoing interest is to do what he can to improve quality of pediatric oncology services in India, with a focus on pediatric oncology nursing care, under the auspices of Aroh. In 1981, he established the division of pediatric hematology-oncology at New York Medical College. There he developed this division into a complete program with stem cell transplant program and a molecular biology lab; and served as the chief of the division at NYMC-Westchester Medical Center for 28 years (1981-2009). He has published extensively and received the Best Teacher award in four of those of years.
